The project will study Japanese energy consumption statistic survey system as a reference case and possibilities of introducing the same in India. It will also interact with BEE focussing on the e-filing system for collection of energy consumption details of the designated consumers.
A programme on conducting awareness and sensitization drives in schools in order to instill a sense of environmental resposibility and habit of waste recycling amongst students.
The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) under Jatropha Micromission is collecting Jatropha accessions from across the country and producing quality planting material of Jatropha based on oil content (30-40%). The programme is supported at 14 centres including a centralized facility for oil testing and molecular characterization.
Objective of the project is to 1. identify and develop co-benefit CDM in waste management sector 2. assist the developmnet of micro-scale CDM projects 3. identify and develop CDM project in large energy intensive sectors 4. assist the negotiation process for the purchase of certified emission reduction (CER) by the Govt of Japn.
The overarching objective of this Assignment is to educate and train school-teachers and trainers in topics related to Environment and Environment-Management, in a manner that will enable them to teach this subject to the students better.
The HighNoon approach and objectives
By offering a forum for open and inclusive dialogue between all major stakeholders, the roundtable tries to find practical and empowering solutions to the problem of global climate change governance. The objective is to locate some of the key questions in the climate change negotiations in an ethical context and undertake discussions pertaining to their legal, economic and political aspects.
Smart mini-grid is defined as a min-grid, which uses advanced sensing, communication and control technologies to generate, manage and distribute electricity more intelligently and effectively. A smart mini-grid is the application of digital information technology to optimize electrical power generation and delivery, and ultimately its end-use within the domain of the mini-grid.
TERI organized a two day exposure programme for DFID, India officials that focussed on various aspects of climate change. The programme sensitized the participants with latest developments on various issues related to climate change with a focus on science, mitigation, adaptation and policy aspects.
