Under this Programme KfW, on behalf of the German Government proposed to provide a credit line of up to EUR 50 million to the National Housing Bank of India (NHB) to either refinance energy efficient housing projects through HFCs and banks or to directly finance by providing loans to institutions such as public agencies, housing boards, development authorities, etc.
The objective for the 'Renewable Energy' chapter in the Green Economy Report is to be able to offer a perspective, through in-depth economic analysis of the opportunities that are associated with a green and sustainable economy.

YUVA 2010 is a youth meet to highlight climate change issues and its impact on society at large. The meet would seek partiicpation from college students across the globe.
The objectives of the project are: - To introduce cleaner-cooking technologies and enable its wider access; - To gather data on climate change and health outcomes; - To use the data to scale up and expand the project.
The journey of light in rural villages of Rajasthan began with just two villages (Banganga and Jodhula) in June, 2008. Today, it has spread across two districts viz. Jaipur and Alwar taking the number of villages to 34.
The Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board has selected TERI to assist in preparation of a State Environment Policy (SEP). Rajasthan presently faces a number of serious environmental challenges in the areas of water resources, agriculture, industry, energy, urban development, tourism, forests and biodiversity, and others.
The document will be based on consultation with multiple municipalities that have implemented water pumping energy efficiency activities, using their experiences and lessons learnt as a founction.
TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute, India) and RRI (Rights and Resources Initiative, USA), with support from DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, UK), are organizing an international workshop on “Community Rights, Forests, and Climate Change” from August 17-18, 2009 in New Delhi.
