Smart mini-grid is defined as a min-grid, which uses advanced sensing, communication and control technologies to generate, manage and distribute electricity more intelligently and effectively. A smart mini-grid is the application of digital information technology to optimize electrical power generation and delivery, and ultimately its end-use within the domain of the mini-grid.
Exposure Programme on Climate Change for DFID Officials

TERI organized a two day exposure programme for DFID, India officials that focussed on various aspects of climate change. Biomass accounts for more than 80% of domestic cooking in India. The combustion of biomass fuels produces a large number of air pollutants including nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), Sulphur dioxide (SO2), respirable particulate, formaldehyde and benzene.
Development of an Indicator for Impact of Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Strategies on Poverty Alleviation

The proposed study aims to develop an Index that measures the impact of climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies on poverty alleviation. The methodology developed in this study will then also be able to provide direction to assessing the impacts of climate change response strategies on other co-benefits.
