Assessment of reclaimed ash ponds and fly ash treated agricultural fields with special emphasis on alteration of metal availability in soil, growth pattern of establishment plants, fate of toxic metals therein and subsequent changes in microbial diversity
This programme is a unique NGO-Corporate partnership between TERI, Goa Centre and V. S. Dempo Holdings Pvt. Ltd (DEMPO). The initiative is in the nature of an awareness-cum-capacity building programme on climate change for the benefit of secondary school children in Goa.
The training program will focus on various aspects related to Gas Chromatography (GC) and High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) analysis. The topics covered include: principles of chromatography; introduction to GC and HPLC; various parts of chromatographic instruments and their role in separation; sample preparation; clean up; separation and quantification of sample constituents.
The summit is meant to aid in expanded collaboration between US and India on climate and energy in the government, business, NGO, and academic sectors.
Performance Evaluation of Improved Portable Wood Stoves
ITDA, Department of SC and ST, Government of Odisha and TERI plan to establish Solar Charging Stations in 16 selected villages in two blocks of Koraput district, with the help of funding support from NALCO under their Periphery Development Plan.

Project CARE (Creating Awareness and skills in youth for Responsibility towards Environment), a TERI-Accenture initiative, focuses on life skill development (for livelihood generation), specifically targeting low income communities in environmentally vulnerable localities. The project will be implemented in 7 cities, namely Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Gurgaon, Noida.
