TERI is empanelled by the ITEC (Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation)/SCAAP (Special Commonwealth African Assistance Programme), Government of India, for conducting this programme. DISLP course is being offered under this programme for the year 2010/11.
TERI and the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), Canada conducted an Executive Training Course on Adaptive Policymaking to deal with Risks, Uncertainty and a Changing Climate for senior and mid-level policymakers and analysts.
2010 - 11 contract has been awared to AEI (Asian Energy Institute). Along with overlooking the closure of the ongoing projects from the previous cycle, the South Asia Secretariat will start the monitoring and evaluation process of new projects awarded to the region in the next cycle.
LaBL is reaching national parks and wildlife sanctuaries across the country to strengthen the existing institutions for biodiversity conservation. Solar charging stations provide sufficient incentive to village communities residing around these nature reserves to work in accord with the forest departments as well as local NGOs working towards conservation.
The objective of this study is to prepare, characterize and test low cost ceramic ultrafiltration (UF) and nanofiltration (NF) membranes for vegetable oil refining application. The ceramic membranes will be based on biomass fly ash macroporous supports (that have already been developed by TERI).
Water quality and conservation are important indicators of the overall growth of a community as it is intrinsically linked to human health, socio-economic growth, major ecosystems, environmental goods and services and sustainable development. With regard to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), water quality would be a major factor in achieving our objectives within the stipulated time period.
The World Bank is assisting several rural livlihood projects in seventeen districts of Rajasthan to increase the income of the rural poor, especially women. This project aims to develop Envrionment Management Framework and Technical Environmental Guidelines for addressing the environmental issues in these projects.
The objectives of this project are: To evaluate energy savings potential under the following circumstances: Shift in IST i.e. advancement of IST by half-an-hour; Implementation of DST for six months (April-September);
