The project involves assessment of current resource consumption and use patterns by conducting energy, water, and waste audits in non-traction areas of the Indian Railway stations. Based on the data analysis from these audits, the baseline will be established.
TERI will be conducting 5 one day workshops for senior district officials of the 60 LWE affected districts. The objectives are to sensitize them on operational and economic aspects of solar charging station thereby enabling them to replicate similar models in LWE districts. The workshops will be held in Patna, Bhopal, Ranchi, Bhubhneshwar and Raipur.
Project SEARCH is a school environment education programme that aims to raise awareness amongst school students, teachers, school community and the society at large on the issue of waste.
This project will update an earlier work done by TERI for Petrofed. The relative power generation costs of coal and natural gas will be compared while accounting for the environmental implications of each fuel.
The current status of climate change adaptation is characterized by ad-hoc decision-making mechanisms without a means to measure the progress in adaptive capacity of people and systems under question. Effective adaptation is best achieved by knowing beforehand the possible impact of adaptation otpions on the adaptive capacity of the system under consideration.

The proposed shelter unit houses various passive equipments like Switch-Mode Power Supplies, Battery banks and Power Interfacing Units for the adjacent transmission tower. These equipments release a significant amount of heat during their operation. This in turn increases the indoor air temperature and creates regions of high heat (hotspots) in the shelter unit.
The objecitves of this National Summit are to: Promote experience sharing on ongoing initiatives on energy efficiency improvement in the MSME sector and explore possibilities of synergizing actions; Seek views of ground level stakeholders (entrepreneurs, industry associations, and local service providers) on possible strategies to promote energy efficiency;
The REEEP South Asia Secretariat will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating REEEP activities in Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
TERI in collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) are jointly organizing a one-day workshop on 8 May 2012, in New Delhi, India.
