The State of Punjab is an agriculture intensive state with traditional rice-wheat cropping system that has contributed towards food security of the country. However, the productivity of this system has declined in certain areas due to various reasons. Agroforestry has emerged as one of the viable alternatives for diversification from existing rice-wheat rotation. Agroforestry can contribute more than 2 billion tons of CO2e by 2030 if government provides them Minimum Support Price (MSP) of timber produced by farmer.
The main objectives are to: (1) Ascertain the extent of adherence, by land-acquiring bodies, to the procedural and substantive provision of the RFCTLARR Act, 2013 for land acquisition in tribal areas. (2) Gain knowledge of the experience of project-affected-Scheduled Tribes families regarding the implementation of the provisions of Chapter V of the RFCTLARR Act, 2013. (3) Examine the ground reality regarding the seeking of consent of Gram Sabha or Panchayat or the autonomous District Council, as the case may be, for land acquisition in the Fifth Schedule Area.
The scope of blue economy is viewed as a holistic development paradigm that aids economic growth and development in parallel focuses on resource efficient and sustainable utilization of marine resources. Since the exploitation of coasts and oceans has been increasing in the past few decades due to factors like growing global population, mounting pressure on the existing resource base and increasing access to coastal and marine environments, it has now become evident to follow a path of sustainable development through blue economy.
In order to facilitate creation of youth network to address the challenges of Climate
The broader objective is to develop an online repository of information, database, news, and updates related to e-mobility and low emission transport covering international perspective in general and India in particular. The idea is to provide diverse set of stakeholders such as governments, businesses, consultants, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), academia, citizens, research community, industry, etc. useful information in a single window.
The blue economy strategy encapsulates economic development, maritime security and sustainable development of marine resources for inclusive development.
The significance of oceans for the global economy is immense and the progress of blue economy will depend on the achievement of sustainable development. The blue economy strategy encapsulates economic development, maritime security and sustainable development of marine resources for inclusive development.
The project aims to undertake an organizational review of the NDMA which was established through the NDMA Act, 2005. TERI will review the existing structure of the NDMA covering its roles and responsibilities, functions and organizational architecture and identify areas for enhancement towards meeting the mandate outlined under the Act. During the course of the study, stakeholder consultations, secondary literature review and assessment will be carried out and they will form the core approach and methodology of the study.
TERI will work with the IEA on an analytical report on the opportunities for clean energy transition policy synergies in India. Building upon the ‘IEA Energy sector air pollution and climate synergies in India Draft Issues Paper’ scoping report from April 2020, TERI shall bring expertise and provide comments to the IEA to refine technical analysis of specific clean energy transition policy integration synergies.
The objective of the project is to provide energy, air pollution and GHG emissions modelling results and calculations for India. The Deliverable includes but is not limited to: Policy scope - independent quantitative analysis and modelling analysis will cover the following areas within the IEA scope of work: Transport electrification and power sector clean energy transition; Energy efficiency air pollution and climate co-benefits; Clean cooking air pollution and climate co-benefits.
The TERI-KAS Energy dialogues would be a series of conferences that would deliberate on some major challenges and opportunities that are prevalent in Indian energy sector and its implications for the world.
