Project STARs - a pioneering ESD project in the state of Goa explored the principles of sustainable development through the adoption of the 3C sustainable school concept. It was a three year project (2013-2016) jointly implemented by the Dempo Group of Companies, and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) across 10 schools in Goa.

The objective of the project is to estimate co-benefits of the GHG mitigation strategies on air quality, human health and agricultural productivity. This calls for the following: a) Preparation of high-resolution emission inventory based on energy modelling results of the MARKAL/TIMES model for the policy scenarios developed under the on-going WRI/TERI study.

Dental Nanocomposite resins based on hybrid dimethacrylates: Mechanical, wear and shrinkage characteristics

These resins will be biocompatible and can be used as dental restoratives. These materials will have good wear characteristics and enhanced mechanical properties. In this study, alkoxy silane will be used along with a mixture of dimethacrylates.

Indus Towers has supported TERI for its LaBL (Lighting a Billion Lives) program. With the help of such assistance, in more than 500 villages in the state of Uttar Pradesh, it has been possible to address the issues of basic lighting and other energy needs through installation of centralized solar charging station (SCS /SMG) and solar home lighting systems.
