To design a National Strategy on Climate Change and it integration in the planning process of the country. The projects seeks to address the policies and programmes implemented by the govenment having strong mitigation and adaptation benefits, and suggesting a pathway for future.
This project includes development of a GEF/ UNDP FSP project fostering launch of an integrated program of pilot implementation, documentation, and capacity activities designed to support adaptation to climate change. The approach will develop strategies for responding to a combination of gradual change and the extreme climatic events anticipated as a result of climate change.
The objective of the project is to provide consultancy on maximizing energy efficiency, water efficiency and various other aspects of green building for the proposed residence of Mr. Arvind Bellad in Hubli, Karnataka.
To report present status of Uttam Urja since withrawl of TERI/REEEP from project area.
TERI carried out a pilot study with CEIL to determine the feasibility of bioremediation of drill cutting and was able to bring down the hydrocarbon level below the permissible limits.
The main aim of the project is to conduct a comprehensive EIA and EMP study of the mining area to identify and analyse the impact of mining on the environment and devise strategies to mitigate the adverse environmental and social impacts.
An awareness programme on Climate Change, the Sunfeast Hara Banao campaign reaches out to 550 schools in 10 cities. Through teacher training workshops and a host of teaching aids such as a film, posters, fact sheets and interesting project ideas, awareness on the issue is being created among students between Std III - VIII in each of the project schools.
The report “Sustainable Development pathways for South Asia” would focus on the environmental pressures associated with four issues, important for the sustainability of development efforts in the region: food security, water security, energy security and sustainable urbanisation.

In any oil industry, during drilling operations huge quantities of oil contaminated drill cuttings and synthetic oil based mud (SOBM) are generated as waste. These waste contain several toxic, mutagenic and carcinogenic hydrocarbon constituents which contribute to severe environmental pollution.
