TERI Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC) is the primary repository and gateway to support learning, research and intellectual stimulation. It offers a wide range of information resources and products that are customized to meet and fulfill the specialized information need and demand of the users. The services offered by KRC are primarily grouped into four distinct categories.
In an era of growing urbanization and the escalating challenges posed by climate change, cities worldwide are seeking innovative solutions to mitigate climate-related risks while simultaneously enhancing the well-being of their citizens. This ambitious project aims to customize the SSC's analytical engine, designed for cost-benefit analysis, to cater specifically to the unique needs of the city of Bhopal.
The Smart Surface Coalition (SSC): A Catalyst for Change
TERI is committed to offering expert training across various research fields to enhance the skills of both professionals and students. These courses aim to provide individuals eager to expand their knowledge and competencies in the sector with access to cutting-edge information.
India is a diverse country with diverse energy consumption patterns in different sectors. Among these sectors, the building sector consumes around 38% (~208 mtoe) of India’s total annual primary energy consumption and 31% (296 TWh) of the total annual electricity consumption. Within the commercial sector, the current built-up area is roughly 1.4 billion square meters.
The Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of India have, under the Indo-German Technical Cooperation, agreed to jointly promote the ‘Indo-German Energy Programme’ (IGEN) with the aim to foster sustainability in built environment in order to use sustainable materials for thermal comfort and in turn improve the environment and climate conditions.
The aim of the study is to facilitate in providing reliable healthcare to all sections of the community by energy-efficient and sustainable healthcare services. Collectively strategies and roadmaps shall be developed to achieve the above aim at all levels of health delivery system of the State varying from primary to tertiary levels in Punjab.
The study is a joint research initiative of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and 75F aiming to study the impact of COVID-19 on energy efficiency in the commercial building sector. TERI is an independent, multi-dimensional organization, with capabilities in research, policy, consultancy and implementation. 75F is also an independent organization dedicated to discovering new solutions to old problems and passionate about exploring new and innovative technologies.
Global warming is causing a rapid rise in temperature in certain high-altitude zones, which include the Indian Himalayan region (IHR). Glacier melting in Himalayas will affect freshwater flows and have an adverse impact on biodiversity as well as human settlements and their livelihoods.
In this project TERI would facilitate green building design consultancy and GRIHA certification and achieve the best standards in green building design consultancy and GRIHA rating. The site is located in Bangalore and the office complex has a total built up area of 4984 sq.m. The building will encompass office cabin, conference rooms, meeting rooms, technical and non-technical rooms. The client is intending to achieve the best standards in green building design and rating as per GRIHA rating. The total area considered for rating will be 2613 sq.m.
The objective of this project is to compile a directory/database for energy-efficient building materials and a policy roadmap to guide formulation, enforcement and monitoring of labels, in the residential sector, through market forces.
