The primary objective of this assignment is to showcase the potential of Floating Solar PV (FSPV) by conducting a mapping exercise to identify the promising sites. Each of these sites is also attached to various relevant parameters such as depth, solar insolation, reservoir area, etc.
When trying to mitigate climate change, winning slowly is the same as losing. Quick action should be our new mantra. The world needs to close the emissions gap with a Rapid Mitigation Action Plan that can deliver fast temperature abatement in the short term while contributing to the long-term goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
Under this project, TERI will provide policy-relevant, cutting-edge research and analysis and thought leadership required for supporting an enhancement in India's NDCs under the Paris Agreement.
TERI's study highlights that the total economic value of the five ecosystem services in Delhi Zoo is estimated to be INR 422.76 crore. This study is 'first of its kind' for habitats such as zoological parks in India.
Known for its rich marine biodiversity, South and Southeast Asia are becoming hotspots of plastic leakage.
The landscape of biofuels in India is complex and evolving fast, with a growing variety of conversion pathways from raw biomass to final energy end-use.
TERI, in collaboration with the European Union International Urban Cooperation programme, are delivering a capacity building programme on 'Mainstreaming Urban Climate Action'. The programme includes four webinars with resource modules focusing on building the capacity and knowledge of practitioners in urban local bodies (ULBs), policy experts, researchers, scholars, and university students.
The broad set of activities of this assignment would be as follows: (1) Provide in-depth analysis of the multiple benefits of energy efficiency in India; (2) Provide in-depth analysis on industrial energy efficiency in India; (3) Provide in-depth analysis on buildings energy efficiency in India; (4) Provide in-depth analysis on energy efficient cooling in Ind
Air pollution is a global concern contributing to a wide range of health risks. According to the World Health Organisation data, around 7 million people die worldwide every year from exposure to the polluted air. More than 80% of people living in urban areas are exposed to concentrations higher than the level recommended by the WHO.
The project aims in providing the local communities safe and sustainable market places, which will subsequently boost their business to a great level. The existing market spaces are not structured and 90% of the vendors put up their stalls by the roadside, thereby making it very unsafe for trade.
