TERI prepared the 'Reference Document towards Developing an Integrated Resource Efficiency Policy for India' in consultation with the Resource Efficiency Cell of the MoEFCC
Himalayan glaciers and rivers, address the water need of people of the Himalayan states and India as a whole. However, despite the state's multiple water reserves, many districts of Uttarakhand face acute water scarcity. Springs of Himalaya are drying up or turning from perennial to seasonal. Since, most of the mountain communities are heavily dependent on springs for safe and reliable water supply, it has become obligatory to preserve and manage these springs.
Cycling is one of the most sustainable modes of transportation. It has numerous benefits in the form of zero dependence on fossil fuels, zero emissions and pollution, health benefits from increased physical activity, besides being an affordable means of mobility for low-income households.
The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) has commenced a programme for capacity building of Distribution Companies (Discoms). This programme will help in integration of BEE activities with activities managed by the Discoms for Demand Side Management (DSM).
The objective of the project is building capacity of Discoms to carry out load management programme, developing DSM action plan and implementing DSM activities in their respective areas.

In this project TERI would facilitate green building design consultancy and GRIHA certification and achieve the best standards in green building design consultancy and GRIHA rating. The site is located in Bangalore and the office complex has a total built up area of 4984 sq.m. The building will encompass office cabin, conference rooms, meeting rooms, technical and non-technical rooms. The client is intending to achieve the best standards in green building design and rating as per GRIHA rating. The total area considered for rating will be 2613 sq.m.
The objective of this project is to facilitate performance assessment of second life lithium batteries with the existing solar micro grids and home lighting systems in Uttar Pradesh.
Solar street lights will be installed in the streets of 2 villages and community places at Golaghat District, falling under the working area of NRL.
Solar water pumping systems will be installed at Government Schools to improve the sanitation facilities. Water drawn using the solar pumps will be supplied in the school toilets to improve sanitation.
The Coalition for Agricultural Profitability and Sustainability (CAPS) acts as a platform to bring together key stakeholders from the agricultural sector. The aim is to enable transition to a profitable and sustainable agricultural system that also addresses concerns about nutrition and its impacts on health.
The project, through Integrated Assessment Models aims to produce pathways to reduce social and political challenges to achieve Paris Agreement targets by incorporating cutting-edge social science knowledge.
