The objective of the proposed study is to understand and assess the present and future climate variability over Indian Sundarbans and the Arkavathy River Basin, with a focus on past and future temperature extremes in a changing climate. This necessitates the use of climate modelling to analyse expected changes in temperature, precipitation, and sea levels in the study area. The extent of effort in this regard is outlined below. Scope of work 1. Baseline assessment over Indian Sundarbans and the Arkavathy River Basin;

The main objectives of this project are:
To understand the current status and readiness of cities towards EV ecosystem planning;
To explore the institutional, operational and financial capacities of cities for EV planning and deployment.
The overall objective of this project is to support the World Bank to develop a set of technical activities to deliver the following outputs to MEWA (Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture), Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: (i) assessment of the costs of rangeland degradation and desertification; and
The overall purpose of this project is to improve regional, national, and local resilience to disruptive weather events and climate change consequences in five partner countries: Ethiopia, India, Peru, Tanzania, and Brazil
Develop annual and two seasons (winter and summer) Emission Inventory (EI) for the base year 2021 of all sources including non-point and biogenic and natural sources for the entire NCR (National Capital Region) for air quality management including air quality modelling, forecasting, source apportionment and policy decisions.
The project aims to provide states with technical support on the implementation of PM KUSUM scheme across its three components. This comprises developing 10,000 MW of grid-connected solar power plants (component A), installation of 17.5 lakhs stand-alone solar pumps (component B) and solarizing 10 lakh grid connected agriculture pumps (component C).
The primary objective of the project financed by this grant is to interpret scientific assessment of climatic typologies at national, state and pilot district level to provide evidence base for contextualizing climate adaptation measures for enhancing water security in the WASCA pilot project locations. The overall objectives are to:
The following activities in pursuit of the Grant objectives:
a. Literature review of State's current policy and regulatory framework, present status of electricity supply and demand including status on RE capacity, economic growth patterns, consumer types.
b. Study for assessing the potential of RE resources that are available to the State.
The main objective of this project is to support a core team in the World Bank to develop a set of technical activities in order to deliver the following outputs: (i) assessment of the costs of deforestation and degradation, in the mountain forests and mangroves; and (ii) ecosystem valuation of the mountain forests, as well as the assessment of the provisioning of key ecosystem services.
