Special Correspondent 07 new divisions have been selected for the purpose of increasing the income of farmers through carbon finance. These include Devipatan, Ayodhya, Jhansi, Mirzapur, Kanpur, Varanasi and Aligarh divisions. For the implementation of the scheme to increase the income of farmers through carbon credit in these divisions, a three-tier MoU was signed on 3 September 2024 between TERI, VNV Advisory and Divisional Chief Forest Conservators of the seven divisions.
