Implementing the Integrated Waste Management Program in India
The overall objective of the project is to undertake situation analysis of 35 SME clusters selected by BEE in order to develop better information base on status of these SME clusters primarily with regard to total energy usage and an assessment of the preparedness of the cluster units to take part in the proposed BEE-SME program.
The general objective of the project was to undertake an independent assessment on whether the utilization of groundwater by M/s PepsiCo India Holdings Pvt. Ltd, is affecting the water sources of the people of Pudussery Panchayat. The study had the following three specific objectives:
Jatropha curcas has received great attention in recent years due to its potential as a bio-diesel crop especially in some developing countries including India. To make the Jatropha initiative economically sustainable and attractive to farmers, yield potential of the planting material needs be increased significantly through selection and genetic improvement.
the project aims to o Introduce /create an appropriate renewable energy based multi-utility technology platform, which can be used as a basis for future technology customization and up-gradation
- Production of tissue culture quality planting material with inputs of biofertilisers and biopesticides etc. in the NE region - Settingup of quality farms for the identified products in each NE state - Strengthening of tissue culture infrastructure base and establishment of institutional linkages for effective implementation
The major objectives of the project are: 1.Develop suitable catalyst from red mud, an aluminium industry waste 2.Test the catalyst for hydrocarbon cracking / activation 3.Use the carbon deposited on catalyst as an adsorbent for removal of pollutants that are commonly present in water and wastewater (heavy metal, phenol, dyes etc.).
Under this project a Pyrolysis Test Unit(100kg/dayPTU) is developed. a patent has been filed on the design and operation of the Pyrolysis based Bioreactor. This Pilot Reactor is developed for production of liquid biofuel, a renewable substitute to fuel oil from selected biomass through pyrolysis route. The toxic oil seed wastes (e.g.
The main objectives of the project are:1/ Germplasm collection2. Isolation of FT and LFY orthologs from B. rapa, B.nigra and B juncea genomes3/ Molecular characterization of quanitfying the extent of homology at sequence level4/ Functional characterization of FT and LFY orthologs form Brassica sps.
