Earth System & Environment Science Engineering Building, is a research facility located in the Indian Institute of Technology Campus, Kanpur. The facility, as the name suggests would house Laboratories and other facilities for various disciplines of the environment sciences, like Atmospheric, Oceanographic, Earth Sciences etc. The facility houses wet labs which are non- air conditioned spaces on Ground floor and dry labs that are air-conditioned spaces on the first floor.

To assist the Jharkhand Electricity Regulatory Commission in the determination of distribution tariff and issuing the distribution tariff order for SAIL-Bokaro Steel Plant for the year 2006-07.
The petition submitted by Bokaro Steel Plant shall be scrutinized by TERI and queries regarding the data/information gaps will be sent across to the petitioner. On receipt of complete details from the petitioner, the Revenue Requirement for 2006-07 shall be analyzed.
TERI will assist the Commission in Public Hearings of stakeholders and in compilation of objections.

The overall scope of the study would be - * to examine the energy consumption patterns in select cities in the household sector, including movement of people, and * to explore how the ecological footprint can be used as a tool to communicate the benefits of use of energy efficient techniques and adopting demand management practices. The Environmental Kuznets'''''''' Curve (EKC) hypothesis envisages an "inverted U-shaped" relation between various indicators of environmental pollution or resource depletion and the level of economic growth. The implied inverted-U relationship between environmental degradation and economic growth came to be known as the EKC by analogy with the growth- income inequality relationship postulated by Kuznets (1965, 1966) .
