Marrakech COP - one of action, partnerships and implementation

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) today termed the COP22 as one of action and implementation. TERI said that the discussions at Marrakech by the nations of the world looked to define actions that can be fast-forwarded in the four years before the requirements of the Paris Agreement become operative in 2020.
TERI releases 10-point Emergency Response Plan for improving air quality in Delhi-NCR

In the wake of the worsening air quality in Delhi NCR, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), has submitted a 10-point Emergency Response Plan to the Delhi government and the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEFCC). TERI has recommended that this plan should be enforced immediately in whole of NCR on forecasted days of very high pollution in Delhi. The recommendations are based on TERI’s modelling and technology development experience.
Coming-into-force of the Paris Agreement marks the beginning of concerted climate change action

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) today welcomed the enforcement of the Paris Agreement. The Agreement comes into effect less than a year after it was adopted in Paris on December 12, 2015. Over 90 countries accounting for over 64% of global greenhouse gas emissions have ratified or formally joined the Agreement, with India ratifying the Agreement on October 2, 2016.
