Developing a recycling plan for old solar PVs

Though the government has accelerated its efforts towards provisioning of grid in these areas there are issues related to reliable supply of power. TERI with the support from Signify Innovation India Ltd is working on a project to provide power from solar energy for primary, middle, and residential schools in Jharkhand, West Bengal and Meghalaya.

Indus Towers has supported TERI for its LaBL (Lighting a Billion Lives) program. With the help of such assistance, in more than 500 villages in the state of Uttar Pradesh, it has been possible to address the issues of basic lighting and other energy needs through installation of centralized solar charging station (SCS /SMG) and solar home lighting systems.
