Heavy metal assessment of Yamuna River Water

Heavy metals reach our air, water, and soil predominantly as a result of industrial activities. Rising levels in soil over a long period are a major concern because of health risks caused even by low degree of exposure. Cadmium, Lead and Mercury has been particularly implicated for adverse effects on health.

RETScreen is a free software developed by The Natural Resources, Canada, for evaluating clean energy projects. TERI has experts trained and certified by The Natural Resources, Canada to train engineers and project managers to use RETScreen software. A pre-feasibility study for setting up commercial BTL plant subsuming the whole value chain, from collection of feedstock to synthesis of liquid fuels.
Rice husk based power generation study in the state of Punjab

The State of Punjab is a key producer of paddy and is one of the large contributors to the stock of rice in the country. Government agencies procure paddy from the farmers through commission agents. One of such state procurement agencies of the Government of Punjab, which is involved in bulk procurement of wheat and paddy in the state, wants to explore the possibiliity of developing biomass-based power plants, specifically by using the rice-husk as the fuel, through public-private partnerships.Sensitization, Education and Awareness on Recycling for a Cleaner Habitat

Project SEARCH aims at instilling good waste management practices amongst students and teachers and through them to the larger school community. It focuses on the core issue of ‘waste’ and creates interlinkages with the current patterns of lifestyle and consumption.
The project started in 2009 with 60 schools in Delhi and Bangalore reaching out to approximately 25,000 students. In second year, TERI targeted 100 schools in Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai and Chandigarh. Outreach in terms of number of students rose to 120000 students.
