TERI EIACP (Environmental Information, Awareness, Capacity Building and Livelihood Programme) secured the First Prize at the National Evaluation Workshop 2025-26 organised by Sulabh- International Institute of Health and Hygiene (IIHH)-EIACP and JNU-EIACP, under the aegis of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) from 15th-17th March, 2026 at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. The workshop brought together EIACP centres from across India to review performance, share best practices, and highlight impactful environmental awareness and capacity-building initiatives.

During the workshop, TERI EIACP presented a comprehensive overview of its activities and achievements, demonstrating its strong commitment to environmental awareness, community engagement, and sustainable lifestyle promotion. A major focus of the presentation was the programme’s extensive work under Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), through which TERI EIACP has conducted numerous awareness campaigns and outreach programmes encouraging citizens to adopt environmentally responsible lifestyles.

The centre also highlighted its flagship public engagement events, including ‘Breath of Change’ and ‘SAMBHAV’, which brought together students, communities, and stakeholders to discuss climate action, air pollution, sustainable consumption, and behavioural change for environmental protection. Such initiatives have played a key role in spreading awareness on environmental challenges and empowering communities to take climate-positive actions. In addition, TERI EIACP showcased its capacity-building efforts through the Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP), which included specialized trainings on Electric Vehicles (EVs) , Solar Technologies and Waste management. These programmes aim to equip youth with practical skills and promote employment opportunities in emerging green sectors.

The recognition at the national level reflects the dedication, innovation, and impactful work of the TERI EIACP team in advancing environmental awareness, sustainable livelihoods, and climate action. Winning the First Prize at the National Evaluation Workshop further reinforces TERI EIACP’s role as a leading EIACP centre contributing to India’s environmental information and awareness network.
