Technology Evaluation for Green Housing Scale Up in India (IFC Eco-cities SHLC)

The objective of this study is to ascertain the incremental cost as an outcome of building green (considered as certified third party rating system) in housing projects in India (for various segments) and identify and prioritize technologies with the goal achieving at least 20% reduction in this incremental cost. Through this study TERI proposes to offer its service to:

evaluate various building material and technologies to ascertain the incremental cost towards greener construction of housing projects in India;

development of Prioritization Matrix of building materials and technologies based on the technical/environmental, financial and social evaluation;

development of implementation plan for demonstration projects;

performance monitoring of demonstration projects;

organizing workshops/events to disseminate proposed project information to pool of relevant stakeholders.
