Dr Neetika Walia Chhabra is a sustainability expert and educator with over two decades of experience in environmental education, sustainable agriculture, and biotechnology. She currently serves as a Fellow at TERI, where she leads initiatives that advance behavioral change, youth engagement, and climate literacy.
Holding a doctorate in Botany from the University of Delhi, Dr Chhabra brings deep expertise to her work in organic farming and applied biotechnology. She has worked extensively across India to promote climate-resilient practices, strengthen farmer livelihoods, and foster agri-entrepreneurship among the youth. Her professional journey also includes contributions to an urban organic farming venture and leadership experience at the Centre for Agriculture and Rural Development (CARD).
Dr Chhabra has designed and delivered impactful capacity-building programs for a diverse range of stakeholders, including students, teachers, government officials, and international participants. She has led several flagship initiatives, such as the Climate Innovation Challenge for Youth, Green School programs, and energy education projects, all aimed at fostering sustainability and climate consciousness among young learners.
A certified Climate Skills Facilitator, she is deeply committed to empowering communities to adopt sustainable lifestyles. Dr Chhabra has contributed to numerous national and international publications and continues to champion practical, community-driven solutions for a more sustainable future.
