Ms Aparna Sajeev is a Research Associate and Area Convenor at the Centre for Resources Efficiency & Governance area of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). She specialises in environmental assessment and socio-economic development, with expertise in Life Cycle Assessment, carbon credit frameworks for Bio-CNG, social sustainability assessments, clean energy transitions, and financial modelling. Her work includes studies on Bio-CNG deployment, life cycle assessment of energetic and non-energetic components of ammunition, the impact of simulator-based defence training, and the socio-economic impacts of transitioning coal mining communities.
She has contributed to high-impact projects for leading organisations, national think tanks, and government ministries. Aparna has presented her research at national conferences and authored policy briefs and technical reports on sustainable fuels and just transitions in coal mining regions. Proficient in software-based LCA and economic modelling, she brings strong analytical and policy-oriented skills to advancing sustainable development goals through low-carbon, inclusive development pathways.
Aparna holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Dr B.R. Ambedkar University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Hons.) from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi.
