To address the issues pertaining to rapid urban sprawl, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), an independent, not-for-profit research institute, brought together multiple stakeholder groups to deliberate on the challenges to sustainable urban infrastructure, the required policy change and the need for effective implementation through public-private partnerships. The dialogue was attended by senior representatives of urban planning bodies, bureaucrats and top Indian conglomerates.
TERI to hold global conclave: World Sustainable Development Summit to discuss climate action post Paris agreement

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), ranked globally as one of the five most impactful think tanks by the International Center for Climate Governance Ranking 2016, today announced the 2016 edition of its flagship event, World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS). Themed 'Beyond 2015: People, Planet & Progress,' the Summit assumes critical significance in the background of the adoption of Sustainable Development Goals and signing of the landmark Paris Agreement last year. The Summit will be held from October 5-8 in New Delhi.
TERI study of Uttarakhand and Goa recommends integration of climate resilience measures into national and state urban planning

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and Mahindra Lifespaces today announced the creation of a Center of Excellence (CoE) focused on improving energy efficiency in India's residential buildings sector. The 'Mahindra TERI CoE for Sustainable Habitats' – as this Center will be known - will evaluate both traditional and innovative technologies and alternative construction materials customised for the Indian buildings sector and climate zones.
