TERI Knowledge management System (KMS) is a centralized platform of shared knowledge in multiple repositories for researchers. The KMS supports a multi-disciplinary approach of knowledge capture and dissemination in TERI to facilitate research, learning, collaboration, process alignment and decision making. TERI KM hosts over 3.5 lakh records in 20 diversified knowledge repositories.
The Green School project 2.0 is a pioneering collaboration between the Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) and TERI. This initiative aims to foster critical thinking, interdisciplinary learnings, and a profound understanding of environment conservation values amongst the students studying in schools operating in Tata Steel operational areas.
Manipur’s First Spring Census and Feasibility Study for Sustainable Springshed Management
Manipur is endowed with abundant natural springs that play a critical role in sustaining both human communities and ecological systems. Located at the confluence of the Indo-Burma and Eastern Himalayan biodiversity hotspots, the state’s topography—characterized by north-south aligned ridges and tropical rainforests—creates ideal conditions for numerous springs, streams, and waterfalls.
SSAP For the Water Sector in Manipur
The development of a State Specific Action Plan (SSAP) for the water sector is critical to address the emerging challenges of water stress, climate variability, and increasing demand. The SSAP is envisaged as a comprehensive, data-driven framework that integrates water budgeting, climate risk assessment, and sectoral planning to support sustainable and resilient water management.
Global warming is significantly altering precipitation patterns, making wet regions wetter and increasing aridity in dry areas. This research project investigates the impacts of Solar Radiation Modification (SRM) specifically Stratospheric Aerosol Injection (SAI) on monsoon systems. By utilizing high-resolution climate models, we aim to provide a detailed understanding of how cooling the planet might modulate the fundamental physical drivers of extreme weather.
The Climate Innovators Challenge for Youth (CLICY) is a flagship initiative by Harit under HCLFoundation in collaboration with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) aimed at empowering college and university students across Karnataka to take meaningful climate action by encouraging young innovators to identify local environmental challenges and develop technology-driven, context-specific solutions through creative problem-solving, systems thinking, and hands-on learning.
The project is designed to promote sustainable agroforestry by encouraging tree plantation on agricultural lands, while generating measurable climate mitigation benefits and enhancing rural livelihoods. Implemented as an Afforestation, Reforestation, and Revegetation initiative under the Voluntary Carbon Market framework, it focuses on establishing tree plantations to enhance carbon sequestration, improve farm productivity, and deliver co-benefits such as biodiversity conservation and soil health restoration.
'Simplifying Sustainability’ is a radio campaign from The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), in association with 92.7 BIG FM.
The initiative aims to make sustainable practices easier to understand and implement in everyday life.
TERI Knowledge Resource Centre (TERI KRC), is committed to fostering sustainable development and empowering individuals through innovative skill development and entrepreneurship programs. Over the years, we have conducted several residential skill development and online entrepreneurship development training programs, focusing on solar energy and waste management.
