The landscape of biofuels in India is complex and evolving fast, with a growing variety of conversion pathways from raw biomass to final energy end-use. The broad objective of the study is to collect and list selected potential sources of biofuels energy flows in India at the national level and develop time series data of selected biofuels in India.
The broad set of activities of this assignment would be as follows: (1) Provide in-depth analysis of the multiple benefits of energy efficiency in India; (2) Provide in-depth analysis on industrial energy efficiency in India; (3) Provide in-depth analysis on buildings energy efficiency in India; (4) Provide in-depth analysis on energy efficient cooling in India; (5) Provide in-depth analysis and expert advice on market based mechanisms and the promotion of energy services; (6) Provide substantive in-depth analysis and relevant energy efficiency expertise
The current assignment aims is supporting Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) units in implementation of the energy-efficiency, renewable energy and technology upgradation measures by enabling access to easy and concessional finance (debt and third-party equity), facilitating technology tie-up with manufacturers, suppliers and energy service companies (ESCOs) and facilitating convergence of state and central government supported schemes with the current initiatives.
The overall objective of the event on ‘Accelerating clean energy transformation in partnership with private sector’ is to facilitate bilateral meetings towards accelerating clean energy transformation in Asia-Pacific countries in partnership with the private sector.
The objective of this project is to design and develop a solar PV powered pottery wheel system along with energy storage that will be economically viable and can be taken up by the artisans located in the remote locations or at the places where grid connected electricity supply is not regular
The development and climate mitigation challenges before India raise questions about its energy pathways ahead. In this background, the broad objective of this project was to evaluate India's current options and limits across each of the energy sectors and sub-sectors towards examining the need for additional technology and policy options in moving towards a net-zero emissions energy system by 2050.
In its endeavour to help Designated Consumers (DCs) achieve their targets under the PAT scheme, BEE is preparing Energy Conservation (EC) Guidelines and Energy Management (EM) Manual for the DCs. The Energy Conservation Centre, Japan (ECCJ) is helping BEE in this initiative. TERI is providing technical back-up support to BEE in this process. The EC Guidelines have been prepared for the DCs and the Energy Management Manual has been prepared by the 9 selected DCs representing different industry sub-sectors.
The broad objective of this phase of the project will be to identify additional industrial applications for switch-over to electricity, facilitate implementation and engage in consultation/dialogue for awareness rising.
This project focuses on exploring the use of storage systems and solar roof top systems to meet grid management services. The analysis will help in understanding cost benefit scenarios for the case studies. The report will serve as tool for DISCOMs to promote solar roof top systems and storage systems for such applications and thereby improving their financial viability.
The main objective of this project is to install a solid waste treatment plant based on TERI's Enhanced Acidification and Methanation (TEAM) technology at PTS township, NTPC Farakka. This plant would treat 100 kg of organic waste generated from the kitchen. TERI will supply the TEAM equipment, erect, and commission the plant. The biogas produced from the plant will be used for partial replacement of LPG in the kitchen; and the manure will be used for horticulture purposes.
