Warning that global investment patterns are overwhelmingly tilted toward environmental destruction, Ms Dechen Tsering, Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), on 26 February 2026 called for a dramatic scale-up of funding for nature-based solutions at the World Sustainable Development Summit 2026.
