Bengaluru, June 18, 2025: As cities across India search for sustainable ways to manage rapid urban growth and climate challenges, Bengaluru will host the 7th GRIHA Regional Conclave on Friday, June 20 2025, at Radisson Blu Atria. Organised by the GRIHA Council, the conclave is part of a regional engagement series leading up to the 17th GRIHA Summit to be held in New Delhi on November 3-4, 2025.

New Delhi, June 10, 2025: The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) released a landmark report titled, ‘Reassessment of Solar Potential in India: A Macro-level Study’, which aims to offer a renewed perspective on the country’s solar energy potential. The study estimates India’s total solar potential at 10,830 gigawatts (GW), far exceeding previous assessments while identifying new opportunities across both conventional and innovative applications of solar energy.
New Delhi, June 03, 2025: The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), in collaboration with the Netherlands Innovation Network, released a White Paper titled, “Towards a Greener Tomorrow: Indo-Dutch Opportunities for the Biotransition”. This joint effort outlines opportunities for India and the Netherlands to collaborate in building a sustainable and resilient bioeconomy.
A strategic roadmap to accelerate Indo-Dutch cooperation in sustainable bio-based innovation
Kolkata, May 22, 2025: The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), as Knowledge Partner at the 4th East and North East India Energy Conclave in Kolkata, highlighted the region’s pivotal role in driving India’s clean energy future. Organized by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the conclave–held under the theme ‘Optimizing Opportunities in Energy Transition’– focused on harnessing emerging technologies to accelerate the shift to renewable energy across Eastern and North-Eastern states.
New Delhi, April 24, 2025: The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) released a new policy brief titled “Shifting Gears Towards Cleaner Air: Modernizing Urban Fleets for a Greener Future in India’s Million-Plus Cities.” The study examines the implications of phasing out older vehicles and transitioning to cleaner alternatives like electric vehicles (EVs) and compressed natural gas (CNG) across 44 of India’s million-plus cities.

New Delhi, April 12, 2025: The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), in collaboration with the State Level Nodal Agency (SLNA) under the Watershed Development Component of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana 2.0 (WDC–PMKSY 2.0), Government of Uttar Pradesh, organized a focused training programme on Climate Resilient Integrated Watershed Management in New Delhi on Saturday.
New Delhi, March 26, 2025: The Global Cement and Concrete Association India (GCCA India), in collaboration with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), has launched the "Decarbonisation Roadmap for the Indian Cement Industry: Net zero CO2 emissions by 2070". This aligns with the Government of India’s commitment to net-zero emissions and reflects the Indian cement sector's aspiration to lead in climate action.
New Delhi, March 21, 2025: The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), in association with UNDP India and endorsed by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, hosted the 4th Water Sustainability Awards (WSA) 2024-25 at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, on the eve of World Water Day. Aligned with the World Water Day 2025 theme, ‘Glacier Preservation,’ the event emphasized the need to protect these critical freshwater reserves amid climate change.
Bhubaneswar, March 18, 2025: The UK Government, in-collaboration with the Energy Department, Government of Odisha and GRIDCO organized a high-level workshop on ‘Net-Zero Vision for Bhubaneswar’ on Tuesday. The workshop aimed to facilitate knowledge exchange, foster multi-stakeholder collaboration, and outline a strategic roadmap for Bhubaneswar’s transition towards a low-carbon, sustainable future. The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) was the knowledge partner for this significant event.
