Puducherry, December 9, 2022: The significance of green budgeting as a policy innovation that can aid in mainstreaming sustainable development across government departments was underscored by experts at a ‘Workshop on Green Budgeting for the Union Territory of Puducherry’ jointly organized by the Puducherry government's Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Finance Department, and the New Delhi-based The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in Puducherry on Friday.

Mumbai, November 18, 2022: In a significant move to steer India’s shipping industry towards carbon neutrality and circular economy, the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) entered into a partnership with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in Mumbai on Friday to set up the country’s first National Centre of Excellence in Green Port and Shipping (NCoEGPS).
New Delhi, November 18, 2022: Five days, 45 schools, 450 students. The Nukkad Natak competition, conducted as part of the Paryavaran Rakshak Week by the GRIHA Council as a prelude to its annual flagship event -- the GRIHA Summit 2022 -- brought together school children from across the country to creatively interpret the ideas of sustainable development and protecting the planet.
The competition held on the theme of ‘Earth Ko Anarth Se Bachaye’ was conceptualized as a platform for school students to showcase their understanding of the concept of sustainability.
India released its Long-Term Low Emissions Development Strategy (LT-LEDS) at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) COP 27 at Sharm El-Sheikh on November 14, 2022.
Inputs from various scientists and organisations were taken in the process of developing India’s LT- LEDS. TERI has been a core entity in contributing to the development of the LT-LEDS alongwith other key scientists and think tanks working in the climate space.
