The programme is designed in an innovative manner to test knowledge levels of students about environment and sustainable development issues, the event celebrated the exemplary achievements of the young minds, while celebrating the milestone of successful completion of 25 years of GREEN Olympiad (GO).

The annual flagship multi-stakeholder event organized by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) is the only independently convened international Summit on sustainable development and environment based in the Global South, orchestrating impactful dialogues on a large scale.

Puducherrry, January 10, 2024: Annual budget processes are crucial from the point of view of planning and coordination and can be seen as an important entry point for mainstreaming climate action and environment related SDG targets in planning processes. Institutionalizing green budgeting can lead to active mind-sets of departments and lead to better planning and coordination within the existing fiscal space. Thus, green budgets can be a useful tool to mainstream sustainable development horizontally across departments.

The study, commissioned jointly, delves into the challenges hindering the Indian secondary steel sector's access to financing for decarbonization technologies.
New Delhi, December 15, 2023: Concluding on a ground-breaking note, COP28 in Dubai issued an unprecedented global call to shift away from fossil fuels. Notable outcomes include a pioneering commitment to reduce methane emissions, operationalizing and capitalizing the loss and damage fund, and agreement on a framework for the global goal on adaptation.
Despite these achievements, COP28, akin to its predecessors, falls short of expectations, notably in catalyzing more immediate and ambitious climate action.
Dubai, December 5, 2023: On the Energy thematic day at COP28, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) launched two policy briefs on Green Budgeting and Internationalizing Lifestyles for Sustainable Development at its event on ‘Just Energy Transitions and SDGs: Tools and Enablers’ at COP28.
