CEO Forum at WSDS 2025

Challenges related to sustainable development and climate change are complex and highly interconnected, necessitating action from a spectrum of stakeholders. The Paris Agreement of 2015 clearly states that, among these stakeholders, the private sector plays a key role in confronting the core issues relating to sustainable development. Businesses, through the mobilization of resources, play a crucial role in enabling actions on sustainable development; the transition to clean energy, for example, driven by private sector investments, is demonstrative of such commitments.

In recognition of the theme of this year's World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) 2025: Partnerships for Accelerating Sustainable Development and Climate Solutions, and in acknowledgment of the contribution of businesses in promoting actions that contribute to cleaner and greener development, TERI is hosting a CEO Forum on March 6 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Silver Oak, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi – 110003.

The CEO Forum will serve as a crucial platform for CEOs and senior executives to explore strategies that enhance climate resilience and sustainable business practices through meaningful collaborations. Over the past year, TERI-CBS has been fostering collaborative efforts with corporations across sectors, specifically focusing on key themes of (a) sustainable value chains, (b) workforce competencies, and (c) building partnerships for achieving near-zero emissions via TERI’s Industry Charter. Through these initiatives, TERI-CBS has emerged as a trusted partner in guiding businesses toward decarbonization and embedding ESG considerations into their core operations. The CEO Forum at WSDS 2025 will serve as a culmination of these efforts, offering an opportunity for business leaders to reflect on the progress made and chart the path forward.
