Marking the spirit of World Environment Day 2026, TERI has partnered with the India Habitat Centre (IHC) to launch the TERI–IHC Lecture Series, a monthly public dialogue platform opening on June 8, 2026, at 7:00 PM in Gulmohar Hall, IHC, New Delhi, where leading voices from policy, diplomacy, science, and industry will convene to address emerging sustainability challenges.

Conceptualized by TERI’s Dr. Ritu Mathur and Dr. Amit Kumar Thakur to create an accessible knowledge platform that democratizes conversations around climate and development, the series will bridge expert insights with wider public participation across themes like climate geopolitics, decentralized energy transitions, clean air, and Mission LiFE.

The inaugural session, titled "The Climate Conundrum: Global Geopolitics and Missed Opportunities," will feature context setting by Ms Suruchi Bhadwal and opening remarks by IHC Director Prof Dr KG Suresh, leading into a high-level panel discussion with Ms Leena Nandan, Mr Ajay Shankar, Ms Carly Partridge, and Mr Acquino Vimal.

Dr Vibha Dhawan, Director General, TERI, highlighted that these deep intersections between climate, economic resilience, and human well-being necessitate informed and inclusive public conversations, and because each free, open-to-all session combines a thematic presentation with an interactive audience Q&A, the platform aims to meaningfully connect science, policy, and society to inspire collaborative climate action.
