Building a Forestry Carbon Credit Roadmap for Uttarakhand under RECAP4NDC

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), GIZ India, and the Uttarakhand Forest Department are jointly organising a 1 day workshop on “Building a Forestry Carbon Credit Roadmap for Uttarakhand" under the RECAP4NDC project.

The workshop is scheduled for Thursday, 27 November 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Hyatt Centric, Rajpur Road, Dehradun.

This workshop engages forest officials and stakeholders to build a strategic understanding of carbon markets under Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR). It introduces core forestry carbon concepts, international standards, and the project lifecycle, while providing training to shape project design. By covering essential data and geospatial requirements, the session aims to operationalize opportunities and assess feasibility. Ultimately, it will develop a roadmap for scalable, sustainable projects that deliver critical biodiversity and livelihood benefits.
