New Delhi, September 4, 2023: The recently launched policy brief by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) titled 'India: Transforming to a Net Zero Emission Energy System,' underpins the critical role of setting a national goal on energy efficiency to accelerate India's progress towards a net-zero emissions future. Energy efficiency, widely considered as the first fuel, contributes not only to cost savings but also to energy security.

It is one of the very few institutions around the world that is known for climate change and whose voice is heard,” emphasized, Shri RK Singh, Union Minister, Ministry of Power and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India in his Presidential Address at the 22nd Darbari Seth Memorial Lecture. The annual lecture series was initiated by TERI in 2002 in memory of TERI’s founder and technocrat-industrialist Mr Darbari S Seth.

BSG and TERI signs MOU to collaborate and jointly work towards sustainability

New Delhi, July 28, 2023: Advancing towards Goal 17 of the United Nations (Partnerships for Goals), Bharat Soka Gakkai (BSG) and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) joined hands to collectively work for sustainability by signing an MoU. Through this MOU, both BSG and TERI will work on various sustainability projects and activities, including creating collaborative research materials, exhibitions, educational initiatives and other such activities.
