AREVA joins TERI to Bring Light to Villages in Maharashtra

Convert Tender Coconut Husk into Convenient Form of Fuel for Clean Combustion

The project objectives are to analyze the tender coconut husk in its available form and to analyze its fuel properties. As part of the on-going joint research study along with IEEJ (Institute for Energy Economics, Japan), TERI studied the e-filing system of India and the Japanese energy reporting system. TERI and IEEJ teams interacted with Japanese stakeholders on the salient features of their reporting system and Indian stakeholders for the improvements possible in the e-filing system.

Collaboration between TERI, ITDA and UNICEF to light tribal residential schools in Koraput

TERI and Integarted Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) are already partners in taking LaBL forward in Koraput, Odisha. ITDA is supporting more than 200 tribal school hostels in the district. Children in these residential schools study in the light of dimly lit kerosene lamps during the evening hours. TERI has supported provision of solar lights in three of these schools.
