The main objectives of this research project are (1) systematic evaluation of institutional performance in and around four protected areas in Kenya, Tanzania, and two states in India with regard to human development (with a focus on poverty reduction), and biodiversity protection; (2) to find how the relationship between conservation and the village economy has developed over time.

TERI's Biofuel Conference on Biofuels 2012 - Vision to Reality

TERI proposes to organize an international conference on biofuels in October-November 2005, in partnership with the Ministry of Rural Development (the nodal ministry of the Government of India) for the Jatropha biodiesel programme. The conference proposes to finalize the road map for achieving the set goals in the biofuels (biodiesel and bioethanol) sector.

Biofuels for transportation: India country study

This study will primarily focus on the current scenario on biofuel development in India and assessment of the biofuel potential at the national level based on the economics and availability of resources. Four field visits and six desk studies will be carried out in order to get a better understanding of the field realities, issues, and challenges related to biofuels development.

Evaluation of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and entomopathogenic nematode cruisers interaction on the reproduction and development of root knot nematode, M. incognita on tomato

Collection and identification of native isolates of entomopathogenic nematode (EPN) and arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi. Selection of EPN isolates based on cruising ability and study the interactive development of AM fungi in presence of EPN. Study the variation in development and progeny production of root knot nematode in the presence of EPN and AM fungi on tomato.
