Kolkata is the oldest major port in the country. But the nucleus of the present day Kolkata Port lies much earlier - with the grant of trading rights to the British Settlement in Eastern India by the Moghal Emperor Aurangzeb. The city of Kolkata has a synergistic linkage with the port.
The description will capture the workshop proceedings. It will capture discussions onn policy, institutional mechanism, viability, and case studies based on DDGs.
GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Health Care Ltd (GSKCH) is one among the largest players in the health food drinks in India. Its manufacturing unit at Nabha is engaged in production of Horlicks and Boost, which are highly admired brands in India.
The primary objective of the consulting services is to prepare a paper summarizing transport, energy efficiency and climate change impacts in India over the period to 2030.
This project is being undertaken in association with the World Bank, Department for International Development, and the Competition Commission of India. The main objective of this project is to understand competition-related issues in the energy sector in India.

Under this project a technical cell on Trade and Environment- related issues was set up in TERI in 2002 with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, to undertake research on the trade and environment interface in light of the current WTO negotiations.
The study has evaluated drivers that shape urban mobility policy in India, explored issues in urban sustainable mobility, analysed rural/urban economic and transportation trends, analysed urban planning procedures, and identified institutions for further collaboration in the area of sustainable mobility
TERI has under taken this project with the following objective of : 1. Performance study of using bio-oil in pure and different blend in the existing stoves 2. Modification of the existing stoves to suits the use of bio-oil or blend with kerosene. The scope of work involed identifying power output, specific fuel consumption, preliminary emission measurements.
