The project activities included the following: 1/ Evaluate the operating energy efficiencies of various energy consuming equipment like motors, compressors, refrigeration and air-conditioning, ovens, and cooling tower; 2/ Analyse power factor improvement and load and demand management;
The objectives of this project included the following: 1/ Evaluate operating efficiency of boiler, pumps, cooling towers, and blowers; 2/ Study such aspects as steam line insulation, working of steam traps, condensate utilization, load management and power factor improvement, lighting, steam and power balance; 3/ Identify potential areas for energy conservation;
@ Assess the extent to which sustainable development priorities are reflected in national and sectoral planning and identify the missing sector and intersectoral links @ Evolve sustainable development strategies at the national and sectoral levels @ Develop sustainable development indicators suitable for the country
@ Assess the likely impact on tourism of the local environment and vice versa so as to recommend concrete and specific measures that need to be taken for the sustainable development of tourism in the area, with the focus on urban transport, water supply and sanitation, solid waste, construction activities, biodiversity and forestry, and railways
@ Carry out on-site treatment of oily sludge using Oilzapper
@ Provide policy makers and potential investors in the UK and India with a set of comprehensive guidelines for assessing additionality and establishing baselines for CDM projects in the renewable energy sector in India
- Develop a detailed evaluation framework to identify and assess the direct and indirect impacts of energy projects on poverty reduction - Review country assistance plans and suggest alternative and specific areas that can have greater impact on poverty reduction
To carry out a detailed performance evaluation of various equipments in a view to identigy areas for energy conservation, quantity of the extent of energy saving by performance improvement and to recommend various technically sound and economically viable measurements to improve and use efficiency.
