Energy Assessment and Modelling

Energy Assessment and Modelling provides policy inputs based on modelling related to energy sector and its inter-linkage with economy and environment. EAM team primarily works with national level energy modelling and its related macro and socio-economic modelling. Various aspects of energy demand, energy supply, energy demand-supply interaction, energy trade, energy sector decarbonization and its impact on economy and environment has been explored by EAM team using relevant modelling tool(s). EAM regularly provides modelling-based policy inputs to various ministries and departments (including MoEFCC, Niti Aayog) and also work closely with various international partners, research communities/consortiums and national/international corporate houses related to national energy system analysis and decarbonization strategy specific for energy sector and its sub-sectors
