Ms Vaishali Nigam Sinha is Co-founder of ReNew, a leading decarbonisation solutions company listed on NASDAQ. As Chairperson – Sustainability, she has played a pivotal role in establishing ReNew as a global leader in ESG, driving the net-zero agenda and implementing focused, results-driven ESG strategies that have earned top global rankings.

Ms Sinha is also the Founding Chair of the ReNew Foundation, where she leads the ReNew India Initiative, championing innovative corporate social responsibility programmes. These efforts have touched nearly 1.5 million lives, reaching remote regions and addressing some of India’s most pressing development challenges. In recognition of its sustainability leadership, ReNew was featured in S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook 2025—the only Indian electric utility company to achieve this distinction.

Ms Sinha holds multiple board positions, including with the President of the Governing Council UN Global Compact Network India, where she is also the founder chairperson of its gender committee. She serves as Co-Chair of the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Alliance for Clean Air, promoting action at the intersection of clean air, public health, climate action, and corporate sustainability. She is also a member of WEF’s South Asia Regional Action Group, a senior advisor to the Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders, and part of the Global Advisory Council for the 1 Trillion Trees Initiative.

In 2024, she was Co-Chair of the Finance and Infrastructure Task Force of B20, the Global Business Forum of G20 Brazil. The following year, she was named Co-Chair of the CII Centre for Women Leadership (2025–26).

Ms Sinha also chairs South Asia Women in Energy (SAWIE). She is a member of the advisory boards of Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) and the Columbia Global Centre, Mumbai.

Ms Sinha is co-editor of Pathways to Equality, a T20 compendium of essays exploring the social, political, and economic facets of achieving gender equality. She is a frequent speaker at global forums including Conference of the Parties (COP) of the UNFCCC, WEF, Financial Times Climate Capital Live, and Reuters Global Energy Transition Summit. Recognized by Fortune as one of India’s ‘50 Most Powerful Women’ (2024, 2025), she was named a Reuters ‘Woman Trailblazer’ in 2025, and one of Business Insider’s ‘100 People Transforming Business’ in 2022.

Ms Sinha has completed the Owners and Presidents Management Program from Harvard Business School and has a master’s degree in Public Policy from Columbia University’s SIPA, where she has been an American Association of University Women scholar.
