A workshop on 'Climate Resilient Infrastructure Services (CRIS)' was organized by TERI in collaboration with the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) on September 26, 2014 at Taj Vivanta, Goa. The day-long workshop was a part of CCP's 'Panaji Sustainable Initiatives Conclave' that took place from September 24-26, 2014. This workshop was organized with an objective to discuss upon and disseminate the key findings and outcomes of TERI's study on CRIS being conducted with the support of CCP in Panaji. The year-long project is supported by the USAID under its larger Climate Change Resilient Development (CCRD) programme and focuses on impact of sea-level rise on the infrastructure and basic services of coastal cities. Under this programme, TERI is working in two Indian cities-Panaji in Goa and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.

A key outcome of the study is a Database Management System (DBMS) for the project cities wherein sector-wise information on infrastructure assets and services can be collated and managed. The workshop also included a half-day hands-on-training session on the DBMS system. It was attended by representatives from civil society and various government and non-governmental agencies such as-CCP, Goa State Pollution Control Board, Public Welfare Department, Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation, North Goa Planning and Development Authority, Town and Country Planning Department, Goa State Biodiversity Board, Electricity Department, Indian Meteorological Department, Directorate of Transport, Captain of Ports, and National Institute of Oceanography.
