The objective is to throw light on the existing genetic diversity in tea and help in taking proper action towards its conservation and utilization. This would be achieved through analysing the genetic diversity of existing tea germplasm using the AFLP-based markers.
@ Develop socio-economic scenarios for climate change impact assessment @ Project changes in demography, economy, and social structure @ Provide a consistent framework to interpret, integrate, and synthesize the results of the sector-specific climate impact studies
@ Study the feasibility of the TEAM process for selected agro-solid wastes such as fruit and vegetable processing, coffee processing waste, and pressmud @ Optimize the acidification process for the treatment of solid wastes @ Estimate the biomethanation potential @ Assess the quality of the digested residue for application as fertilizer
TERI has extensively worked and collaborated with Haryana Forest Department for integrating the concept of participatory forest management. The programme over different phases of TERI s involvement has progressed from the project approach to process approach. In order to further strengthen the programme in Haryana, the following services are proposed:
@ Analyse secondary data of consumption patterns @ Survey international literature on forecasting methodologies @ Design and implement a consumer survey @ Develop an econometric model for assessing the demand, peak as well as energy @ Assess the supply-side position and the demand-supply gap
