Assess the impacts on the river Nambi due to inefficient environmental management in the village and suggest its rejuvenation. Assess energy use pattern for cooking and demonstrate use of biogas plants using cowdung.
This project is part of the NWDPRA (National Watershed Development Programme for Rainfed areas) of the Government of India. The villages covered in this project are in Bicholim Taluka, North Goa. The project involves the people's participation to develop land and water resources for enhancing productivity in rainfed areas on a sustainable basis.
This project seeks to build a set of policy options for sustainable settlements in peri-urban areas through networking among the actors engaged with the PUI (peri-urban interface), with specific reference to the impacts of energy and transport.
