The Green School project 2.0 is a pioneering collaboration between the Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) and TERI. This initiative aims to foster critical thinking, interdisciplinary learnings, and a profound understanding of environment conservation values amongst the students studying in schools operating in Tata Steel operational areas.
TERI EIACP (Environmental Information, Awareness, Capacity Building and Livelihood Programme) secured the First Prize at the National Evaluation Workshop 2025-26 organised by Sulabh- International Institute of Health and Hygiene (IIHH)-EIACP and JNU-EIACP, under the aegis of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) from 15th-17th March, 2026 at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
Akshay Urja is a bimonthly magazine published by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), with support from GIZ on behalf of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India.
TERI has developed Solar-biomass hybrid dryer with thermal energy storage for rural tribal communities, women and differently-abled persons. The integrated system has a Thermal Energy Storage (TES) device and a Biomass-based Heat Exchange (B-HE) system. These components are integrated with a solar dryer developed by SEED for continuous operation and efficient utilization of the hybrid system in food drying and increasing the capacity utilization factor of the system.
To develop an energy-economy inter-linked decarbonization roadmap for India for its short (2030), medium (2047), and long (2070) term. An integrated energy-climate-economy modelling framework will be developed for simulating the impacts of exogenous circumstances, global climate policies, national policies, and technology development on India’s energy supply and demand, GHG emissions, and impacts on policy relevant macroeconomic variables.
Pumped Storage Hydropower is a mature and proven technology and operational experience is also available in the country. CEA has estimated the on-river pumped storage hydro potential in India to be about 103 GW. Out of 4.75 GW of pumped storage plants installed in the country, 3.3 GW are working in pumping mode, and about 44.5 GW projects are at various stages of development.
TERI Knowledge Resource Centre (TERI KRC), is committed to fostering sustainable development and empowering individuals through innovative skill development and entrepreneurship programs. Over the years, we have conducted several residential skill development and online entrepreneurship development training programs, focusing on solar energy and waste management.
