Jagmag Pathshala

Jagmag Pathshala is an initiative to provide clean and reliable energy for improving quality education in government schools in Jharkhand. This video highlights multiple challenges faced by teachers and students such as erratic and insufficient power supply in schools, and inconvenience caused due to high temperature in classrooms. TERI has installed solar PV panels in 21 schools located primarily in rural areas of the state and also provided basic training to teachers for regular system maintenance. With a reliable source of clean energy, students have a better experience in classroom during daytime as well as in residential hostels after dusk. TERI has replaced generators used earlier in schools, thus promoting cleaner sources of energy. Jagmag Pathshala CSR programme is supported by Signify Innovations India Ltd.
