There was a sharp rise in number of cars during the pandemic. Between March 2020 and May 2022, 78,102 cars were added to the city fleet. The number of cars rose during the pandemic in most of our cities, said Mr Sharif Qamar, Area Convenor, Centre for Sustainable Mobility, TERI.
