Essar Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Ltd (EOGEPL) announced its investment in Microbial eCBM technology to boost Coal be Methane (CBM) production, in a bid to improve operations. Hydrogen mission may undermine climate goals

Even if the government meets its ambitious target of producing 10 million tonnes of green hydrogen each year, it would still only provide about 1/15th of India's energy from coal.
