The initiative to prevent marine pollution by collecting discarded plastic fishing nets is set to expand across Goa's entire coastline. In an interview, Dr Vibha Dhawan, Director-General of TERI, says that every year 65% of pollution comes from sources located outside Delhi, mainly from the neighboring states of Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. A regional approach is needed to deal with this issue.
