Mr Vishesh Arora is a sustainability professional with over five years of experience in sustainable buildings, climate finance, affordable housing and climate-resilient development. As Research Associate and Area Convenor in TERI's Sustainable Buildings Division, he contributes to research, policy, capacity building and implementation initiatives that advance low-carbon and resource-efficient built environments.
His work focuses on sustainable housing, building decarbonization, energy efficiency, ESG integration and sustainable habitat development. Prior to joining TERI, he worked with IIFL Home Loans and Design2Occupancy Services, gaining experience in green buildings, sustainability consulting, ESG reporting and sustainable finance. At TERI, he has contributed to assignments for organizations including the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Asian Development Bank (ADB), International Finance Corporation (IFC), GRIHA Council and various state governments. His experience also includes sustainability advisory and green building certification under GRIHA, IGBC, LEED and EDGE across residential, commercial, institutional and public infrastructure projects. He has also represented TERI at national and international forums, including the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction (GlobalABC).
He holds a Master's degree in Climate Finance and Sustainability from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture. He is a Registered Architect with the Council of Architecture (COA), India and an IGBC Accredited Professional (Associate).
