Dr Meeta Lavania is working a Senior Fellow and Area Convener of Microbial Biotechnology at The Energy and Resources Institute. She has extensive experience in research & development and led significant projects focused on biochemical enhanced oil recovery and microbial methane generation. Her cutting-edge research has resulted in several patents, notably in the areas of methane production and viscosity reduction for enhanced oil recovery processes.
Dr Lavania has published numerous research articles in international peer-reviewed journals and has received multiple accolades, including the Biotech Product and Process development Award by Department of Biotechnology Ministry of Science and Technology, for her contributions to Coalbed Methane Technology. As an active member of various scientific societies, she is recognized for her contributions to the energy and environmental sectors through biotechnological innovations. Dr Lavania holds a PhD in Microbiology from the National Botanical Research Institute (CSIR), Lucknow, awarded in 2006.
