The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in collaboration with Hindustan Rasayan Private Limited (HRPL) inaugurated a new facility for production of Bio nano fertilisers on 22nd April 2024. With a capacity of 40 lac litres per annum, the facility is one of its kind where nano fertilisers would be produced using biological processes and a disruptive bio-fermentation technology. The present capacity is easily scalable by addition of more fermenters to 2 crore litres per annum. The facility was inaugurated by Dr Vibha Dhawan, DG-TERI, and Mr Vinay Pal Jain, Managing Director, HRPL. In the first year the facility will be used for production of three Nanofertilizers developed by TERI, namely Uttam Pranam Nano-P (marketed by Chambal Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited), Nano Shakti nano Urea and Nano Shakti Nano DAP (marketed by Zuari Farm-Hub and Paradeep Phosphate Limited).
